Fourteen days for travellers who want more exertion built into the itinerary — Kandy as a starting point, into the less-visited Knuckles mountain range for hiking, Ella for more trails, Arugam Bay for surfing, a Yala safari, and Mirissa to finish by the water. The most physically active of our standard routes.
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, followed by a private transfer inland toward Kandy — a drive of roughly three to four hours. Many travellers use this transfer to break the journey at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, on the route between the airport and Kandy, before continuing on and settling in for the evening.
